8 Mile Circular Hike: Derwent Edge from Fairholmes

The route will takes us up to the hills along the eastern side of the Derwent Valley and Ladybower reservoir. Around 8 miles and 520m of ascent. Refreshments at The Visitor's centre café, afterwards, or maybe even the Ladybower Inn.

The intention is to offer car shares from The Metropolitan in West Didsbury from 9am. I can offer three seats but if you have a vehicle which can offer more or would like a lift, post below. Meet close to the car park entrance.

We'll set off from Fairholmes at 10:30am promptly. I'll bring a South Manchester Social sign, so look out for that. Meet by the cafe serving hatch.

Terrain will be fine with a dog if they can manage the distance but please keep them on a lead at all times.

I've done these trails before but about 5 years ago. Backtracking may be involved. It'll be an adventure! I am not a professional guide. I'm just going for a walk and wondered if anyone would like to join me.
