What we’re about
The South City Folk Jam is a gathering of musicians of all skill levels who meet on the 2nd Saturday and the 3rd Friday of every month to play fun songs together. So if you play an acoustic folk instrument (such as guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, etc.)
-- or if you just like to sing-- come on out and join the band!
Here are the fall dates:
2nd Saturday (3-5 pm): Sept. 13th, Oct. 11th, Nov. 8th
3rd Friday (11am-1pm): Sept. 19th, Oct. 17th, Nov. 14th
We provide songbooks with a wide range of music from old-timey folks songs (think "O, Brother Where Art Thou") to more contemporary folk, rock, and country songs from the 60's through the 2000's. All skill levels are welcome as the songs are easy to play and require just to know your basic chords (G, C, D, E, em, A, am, F, B7, ...).
