Philosophical Discussion Concerning Gender and Sex

Greetings,
There was a Pride parade in the city centre several weeks ago, and I happened to be around, so I could see some of it. Many people were putting on some jamming colours and carrying rainbow flags. The giggling of teenagers, sheer optimism and radiating solidarity were also present there. But underneath all these scenes is what none of us really wants to talk about.
It seems to me, personally, these “queer people” have successfully built an altar of their mortal enemy, and they get to be the iconoclast. But the question of what the essence which represents every one of them unanimously is not to be asked. In fact, the question is left in the empty tabernacle, the most sacred altar that no one is allowed to enter.
But have the issues surrounding gender and sex become more resolved now than they were before?
- How should we view gender? And sex?
- Are there inherent gender roles?
- Should we treat men and women equally? Then to what extent? Olympic sports, restroom, military duty, physically equal load of work,
What science would be best suited to address the issues surrounding gender?

Yep, that’s true; religion is not a science, but I just included it as it is more influential and highly referenced by a great number of people.
