About us
Welcome to the South Sound Secular Social Society
Secular to us means living your life without the often arbitrary restrictions of religion. Are you someone who identifies as secular, atheist, or agnostic? Do you crave a space where you can enjoy good company without offending religious believers? Look no further! Olympia Secular Social Society is the perfect meetup for you.
The South Sound Secular Social Society was started in January of 2024. We’ve scheduled and enjoyed comedy shows, hikes, rock shows, Sunday brunches, Drag shows, trivia nights, hump day dinners, Oly Storytelling, a night at the symphony, lunch at the new pickleball venue, Rocky Horror Picture Show, game nights, pottery painting, explored the Oly Craft District and a Burlesque show. As the weather gets warmer, we’ll be doing even more. Come join us!

Masonry Brunch
Masonry on the Green, 1529 Mounts Road SW,, DuPont, WA, USLet's welcome the return of Daylight Savings Time with brunch at Masonry on the Green, at the Eagle’s Pride Golf Course on JBLM. The Masonry Cafe recently moved from Yelm's Old Firehouse to next to I-5 in DuPont, about halfway between Olympia and Tacoma. Let's meet some new folks at this co-listed Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch with Mensa of Western Washington. Most of the Cafe's internet menus are for the old Yelm location, so check out the new menus in this listing's Photos and catering photos at https://www.masonrycafecatering.com/. The leader Geoff Wilkie, gdmw@yahoo.com, will wear a yellow plastic lei, or you can look for a Mensa sign at the table.
While the Cafe's golf course is on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, its 27 holes are open to the public (18 in winter) and better challenges that you might expect from driving by on I-5. There's also a lighted, heated driving range and an indoor simulator for up to 8 golfers if you don't want to enjoy so much of the outdoor experience. See https://jblm.armymwr.com/programs/eagles-pride-golf-course for details if you want more than just brunch. Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is also nearby if you want to burn off your calories from brunch with different birdies and eagles.
