What we’re about
Our group will meet occasionally (season and weather pending) to sketch the urban scene and nature around Lake Tahoe. Everyone is welcome, all styles, abilities, and skillevels.
As this Meetup account is a starter account, only a limited amount of people can sign up for events. You don't have to sign up to come to our group meet, just show up. You can also contact us via Facebook, search for South Tahoe Sketchers.
We are not an official Urban Sketcher group but follow their principles:
- Draw on Location: Indoors or out, from direct observation.
- Tell the Story: Capture the places you live and travel.
- Record Time & Place: Your drawing is a historical record.
- Be Truthful: Reflect the scene as you witness it.
- Use Any Media: Pencils, paints, digital tools are all welcome.
- Support Each Other: Share and connect with fellow sketchers.
- Share Online: Post your work to show the world.
