Want to experience magical undersea worlds, discover sunken wrecks, interact with seals and other sealife, well then why not give Scuba Diving a try.

We’re inviting you to come to the next ’S.W. London Scuba Diving Meet-up’ where you can chat to experienced scuba divers from all walks of life & who can answer all your questions.

Amongst those questions, is it safe? Well if you get properly trained you minimise any risks dramatically.

Can you Scuba Dive in the UK? The UK is brimming with clubs, dive centres, an abundance of sunken wrecks from two world wars and a diverse range of marine life which often surprise. And if you can master diving in the UK you can dive anywhere safely and any diving certification gained at a BSAC or PADI club is recognised internationally.

We’re using Putney Leisure Centre for try-dives which has a 3.5m diving pool. You just have to be over 18 years; be able to swim and have no underlying health issues that might prevent you from scuba diving.

Costs are only £30 for one hour which includes all the equipment you need. If you sign up on the ‘meet-up’ evening with a friend then we can reduce this fee to £50 for you, your friend and the hire cost of the scuba kit (a £10 saving).

On the next two Meet-up nights we can schedule you in, but sessions are restricted to Tuesday nights between 7.30-8-30pm and its first come, first served. The next Meet-up will be at the Wethersoon’s ‘Rocket’ in Putney near the bridge starting at 8.30pm on 11th March and then on the 11th April. These meet-ups are entirely free to attend.

Between the two meet-ups people who sign up are invited to come along to the Putney Scuba Club Social on Tuesday evenings at the Hurlingham Yacht Club (under the train bridge on the Putney side) to try on the scuba kit in a dry environment to help understand the scuba diving process and to get you ready for your try-dive evening.
