About us
¡Bienvenidos!
In this group we host informal, social events across South West and South London where both native and non‑native Spanish speakers can mix, mingle, and practise or exchange their Spanish and English language skills.
I decided to take over this group after moving back to the UK a few years ago from beautiful Valencia, where I fell in love with the language and wanted to keep improving it while meeting like‑minded people. At that time, I also organised a popular local Meetup group in my corner of London, where we explored small events and had a lot of fun.
I’m an artist, a teacher, and someone who loves the outdoors, so there’s plenty of potential for a wide range of interesting Meetups as this group continues to grow. We also have several organisers, which means you’ll be able to find events that suit your location and schedule.
We look forward to meeting you and building a friendly, relaxed community together.
This Meetup is for Spanish speakers of all levels- everyone is welcome. New note, March 2026: we have had to introduce a minimal subscription in for the first time in attempt to cover the very high costs that organiser pays to Meetup annually, thank you for your understanding!
