Watercress Festival Alresford
Details
Watercress festival Sunday 17th May in Alresford
Every year, on the third Sunday in May, the streets of this Georgian town are closed to traffic to transform the town into a family-friendly free festival
From street markets, food & drink stalls, cookery demonstrations with renown world class chefs, the Hampshire Farmers Market and a watercress eating competition
As Alresford is closed to cars from 9.30 on the day the best way to get there is (I think) parking in Ropley station carpark (£10 per car )so car sharing is a good plan and getting the free train into the centre of Alresford village, it’s a very busy event so we can try to meet at Alresford station carpark at around 10.30, the trains are very frequent from Ropley, there are carparks around Alresford that will be sign posted on the day it’s up to you how you get there
You can wonder around the craft stalls lots of food sold, we could all try meet at the Globe pub at the edge of town for a pint, it gets very busy so probably best we don’t expect to stick together just enjoy the day and see each other when we can
