Welcome to The Southampton Sewing Hub Meetup Group!
Whether you’re a total beginner, a returning stitcher, or a seasoned maker, The Sewing Hub is your creative home in Southampton. We’re a fully accessible, community-driven space offering relaxed, friendly sewing sessions for all levels.

• Beginner & refresher sewing classes
• Overlocker workshops
• Our regular Sewing Circle – a relaxed social stitch & chat
• Guest speaker nights with local makers & artisans
• Access to professional sewing equipment (Juki machines, large cutting tables, steam irons & more)
• Optional co-working/studio hire for designers and makers
From learning to sew a button to launching your own small fashion line, we support you every stitch of the way.
Our sessions are welcoming, small, and personal, so you’ll get the help and confidence you need to thrive. We also offer discounted block bookings and opportunities to grow your skills or your business.

The Bowie Experience
Costume maker to Laurence of The Bowie Experience since 2005, Amy has created 25 David Bowie replica costumes (and counting) for live stage performances over the last 20 years. For the first time a selection of these costumes will be on display at Southampton Sewing Hub with the opportunity to see up close how they have been created. Amy will be answering questions and talking through some of the items with Suzie including photos and video to show the costumes in action.
