Winchester Garden Festival

Details
The Winchester & District Garden Festival is taking place over 9 days in June https://www.garden-festival.co.uk/ I’ve selected 3 exhibitions to visit that are open this coming Friday, all taking place in central Winchester. Meet at 11am outside The Arc (library) in Jewry Street. From there we’ll visit the exhibitions below, passing through Riverpark and Abbey Gardens as we make our way to the next venue. All entry is FREE. Around 1ish we’ll stop for refreshments. People are welcome to bring a picnic. 1 Gardens, Landscapes & Horticulture in Art Exhibition, taking place in Milner Hall. Admire the work of 18 local talented painters, glass makers, textile artists and others selling their work in this little-known renovated church. 2 Growing Plot, an exhibition of art works, sculptures and paintings based on soil, plants, trees, and the microbiome by the artist Andrew Carnie in his studio, The Light Factory. This takes place in the Cattle Market Car Park. 3 Sculpture in the Garden, showcasing the work of the Wessex Sculptors set in the delightful, walled gardens of the Quaker Meeting House. If you’re coming by car suggest you use Park and ride or RiverPark car park, what 3 words dimes.surcharge.lung This event is shared with another Meetup Group.
