Walk + Free Visit to Military Logistics Museum

We’ll start the 1.5 mile walk to the Museum at 12.30pm prompt from the end of Hookpits Farm Lane ‘on street parking’ SO23 7GN and What 3 Words ‘grips.somewhere.alleges’. Walking along footpaths and bike tracks between fields and hedgerows to reach Connaught Road and a short distance along here is the entrance to Worthy Camp. The walk is on flat terrain. At the Camp there is a special free event ‘Horses and Wagons’, with various interesting displays throughout the day featuring horse, equipment and weaponry. We can also visit for free the Logistics Corp Musuem, with galleries of uniforms, medals, ordnance and personal mementoes illustrating the first 300 years of military logistics. Plus the Rolls-Royce staff car used by Field Marshal Montgomery after D-Day, and various logisthttps://rlcmuseum.com/rlcmuseum.com/ There is a cafe within the museum where we can stop for refreshments. Around 2.45pm we will make our way back along the same route to our cars.
