Walk + Trout & About Festival, Stockbridge

Details
Trout and About is an event held in Stockbridge on the first Sunday of August every year. The high street is alive with around 150 local traders showcasing the very best of local food, produce and crafts. On the recreational ground, there will be live music, food, drinks. https://tnastockbridge.com/visit-us
The high street is closed off and parking is available on fields either end of the high street with a vintage bus service into town. Parking costs £5. The roads around Stockbridge will be busy, so please allow additional travel time. Depending on the direction you are travelling from, the what 3 words are:
Visitor car park West - ///alienated.alike.magical
Visitor car park East - ///cries.locked.solids
The plan is to meet at 11.30am outside The White Hart Pub. From here we’ll walk along the road before entering the path following the disused railway line from Andover to Redbridge known as the Sprat and Winkle Line. We follow this for around one mile before turning right onto Common Marsh to follow the Marshcourt River back into Stockbridge high street. Overall a walk of two miles, mainly level and partly across open areas where cows graze, beware if you are wearing sandals.
Once back into town we can wander amongst the many stalls. Around 2pm we’ll reconvene at The Greyhound on The Test in their Riverside bar, where there is live jazz and a barbecue https://thegreyhoundonthetest.co.uk/events/troutnabout-2025/ From there we can make our way to the Recreation Ground to listen to some more live music.
Hope you can join me.
