Circular Walk Cheriton to Hinton Ampner

This is a 3.5 mile circular walk starting at the pretty village of Cheriton. We then walk across fields, passing the site of the Cheriton Battlefields to reach the parkland of Hinton Ampner, where you can get a good view of the historical house and its gardens.

We’ll stop here for a break for refreshments. Please bring your own drink and snacks. There is a cafe but it is for ticket holders only. From here we’ll make our way back to Cheriton via a different route.

Terrain: Fields tracks, parkland, quiet country lanes, and a busy road crossing. A couple of short and steady hill climbs. If it has been raining it may be muddy in parts. I’ll post an update prior to the walk.

We’ll meet outside Cheriton School from 1.15pm for a 1.30pm prompt start. There is free off road parking in School Lane and the surrounding streets.

For those that fancy we can go for a drink at The Flower Pots Brewery after the walk. I will not be arranging a lunch, but please feel free to arrange amongst yourself if you fancy a meal.
