Southampton Walk Of Discovery

How much do you know about Southampton? did you, for example know that there are eight ‘Parks’ within a half mile radius of West Quays shopping centre, well now’s your chance to learn; that and more !

This walk is in search of facts letting your legs do the walking and not your thumbs, forget Google and find out which British Prime minister had a strong association with Southampton, who is Paul de Monchaux and much more. The questions will all be provided all you have to do is find and note down the answers, you will even have a map to follow.

The walk is split into two sections of approximately two miles with a good break for a catch up and refreshments in between. The walking is all pavement and low inclines and if there are any stairs there are alternative short deviations.

You’ll be split into teams on arrival. Teams will be starting their first leg at Eleven o’clock with a break at One o’clock then the second leg at Two o’clock till around Three thirty (approximate timings). At the end of the walk if enough people show interest then we shall meet at the Standing Order for a drink and a bite to eat.

Above all the purpose of the walk is to enjoy ourselves, I look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it.
