Let's meet in Warsash and travel to Hamble on the Pink Ferry and back

Let's meet for coffee at Mermaids cafe (Mariners Way, Warsash, Southampton SO31 9FR) in Warsash on Saturday 4th July 2026 any time from 10am to 10.30am .
We can then travel over on the charming Pink Ferry to Hamble and have a walkabout there. There are lots of great pubs, shops & cafes in Hamble so we can choose somewhere nice for a bite to eat for lunch on the day.
I have now booked an outside table at Banana Wharf in Hamble at 12.30 for lunch. If you'd rather do your own thing for lunch please let me know. :-)
After lunch we can travel back on the Pink Ferry https://www.hambleferry.co.uk/ferry
Please note that the ferry is a 'cash only' service. Online it seems to say that's £3 each way but I'm sure I paid £5 last time......
The last ferry leaves at 15.45 hours so please don't leave it too late to get back if you are parked in Warsash.

As the pier for boarding the Pink Ferry is in a tidal area of the river & may be slippery , it's recommended that you wear comfortable shoes - and not your finest high heels! Please be aware that the pink ferry boats are all open top and only hold a small number of passengers so we may need to cross in more than one boat.

For everyone travelling to Warsash, I suggest we all find parking in the Passage Lane car park in Warsash, which is pay and display on Saturday morning.
Charges will apply between 10am and 6pm, at an hourly charge of £1.10. There is a maximum stay of 12 hours. Pay machines will accept cash, card or payment via the PayByPhone app

If more than 10 people would like to eat at Banana Wharf, could one of you kindly offer to book a second table, at roughly the same time? I have had to secure out booking with my credit card so please no last minute dropping out!

NB Banana Wharf is a little walk from where the Pink Ferry will drop us so please wear comfy shoes.
