Presentations include:

• At our last meetup, Adam L Barrett covered setState with React Hooks. Extending from that, Christopher Baker will introduce more advanced data topics, showing us how to maintain data between renders (with useRef) and share data with your whole app without prop-drilling (with useContext).

• If you’re working alone on a client project, or maybe just feel like you are, it can be overwhelming when everything depends on you. Mike 'Mitch' Mitchel will talk about his experiences as a new JavaScript developer at Bitovi, being a solo developer on a client project, and how to stay productive when you have to wear all the hats.

• Docker and one of its CLI tools, docker-compose, can substantially help development by reducing the variability and effort involved in setting up dev environments. Nils Lundquist will teach us the fundamentals of using these tools and explain how they’ve helped in recent projects.
