Art Crawl & Conversation @ SJ First Friday
Details
Love art or just curious about the local scene? Come join us for a relaxed evening of exploring San José’s First Friday!
First Fridays are a self-guided art walk through downtown San José’s galleries, museums, and creative spaces—featuring exhibitions, performances, and plenty of inspiration. It’s free, open to the public, and happens every first Friday of the month.
We’ll meet outside the Chopsticks Alley Art (38 S. 2nd Street
San Jose, CA 95113) at 6:15 PM and wander from there, letting curiosity guide us. Along the way, we’ll enjoy good conversation about what we see—whether that’s first impressions or deeper reflections. Optional prompts are available if you’d like to engage more thoughtfully.
The walk will officially end at 8 PM, but if you’d like to continue exploring art or grab a bite afterward, you’re welcome to join us. If you can’t make it at 6 PM, you can still hop in later!
Our gathering is a donation-based sliding scale $0-10. It's free and open to anyone in this group. If you'd like to contribute, the suggested donation is $10 to support the planning and organizing of this event. You can pay by:
- PayPal: Kindred Ground LLC
- Venmo @KindredGround
- Card (new: tap to pay through Eventbrite)
- Cash
If you're having trouble paying, please contact Monika.
If you’re driving, we want to give you a heads up that parking might be a bit hard to find. An great parking option is the nearby 280 Lot (691s S Second St, San Jose, CA 95112)—our inside source says it’s a good spot and FREE after 6PM :)
Come with a friend or come solo—you’ll find a welcoming group and plenty of art to discover!
