Justin Farren together with Kora Feder @MulcahyHouse

Details
Sorry we haven't hosted much this summer:/ But we are thrilled to close out the summer with Justin Farren. I’ve wanted to have Justin here for some time and together with Kora Feder, it will be a great night.
Justin Farren
"A storyteller with an impeccable voice, a terrific guitarist and a head-full of funny, tender and engaging observation”. Justin Farren was born and raised in Sacramento, where he lives in a house built with his own two hands - or as he likes say, "a living museum of my own mistakes”.
Justin writes multidimensional songs, uniquely personal but endlessly inventive…songs filled with the kind of sudden twists you never see coming. Prepare with a tissue and to laugh out loud, sometimes in the same song.
"Justin Farren is the avatar of the age and the only true path to enlightenment” says David Wilcox. “If you want to attain total self realization, get to know Justin Farren”. In the last few years Justin has won a bevy of awards including the Kerrville New Folk Competition, Songwriter Serenade and Wildflower. He's shared the stage with David Wilcox, Anna Tivel, Sam Baker, Matt Costa, Pierce Pettis, and many other outstanding performers.

“an emotional weight that can stop you in your tracks”
Rich Warren, Folkstage Chicago
“The most talented new singer-songwriter I've heard in the past decade”
Kora has earned national songwriting accolades and praise for her lyrical precision and impassioned delivery (Kerrville, Telluride, International Songwriting Competition). “Feder is the best young singer-songwriter since the young Anaïs Mitchell,” says Rich Warren of Chicago’s WFMT Folkstage and Folk Alliance International.
Her 2019 album In Sevens spent four months on the U.S. Folk Radio Charts. Her song “I’d Be a Maria,” has surpassed 1.5 million streams on Spotify.
In March of 2025 Kora released Some Kind of Truth, that takes an introspective look at the life of a young person in America in the 2020’s and “about how self-quarantine has aged her” (Washington Post) The record was produced by Justin Farren.
