Join us for a weekly meetup of 2 to 3 hours of improv games and performances in a positive, supporting environment. We'll start with warm up games and exercises, and then do more advanced scene work later in the class. Everyone from first-timers to advanced improvers is welcome!

We're meeting right behind the Mountain View Community Center, in the large circular area next to the parking lot. There's plenty of shade and parking (with several parking lots on other sides of the park as well). It's located in a beautiful park (Rengstorff Park), with lots of trees, big grassy fields, basketball and tennis courts, etc.
Anyone interested in stand-up comedy, public speaking (e.g., Toastmasters), RPGs (role-playing games, such as Dungeons and Dragons or LARP), social deduction games (Werewolf, Secret Hitler, etc.), movie/book/TV trivia, or just the best advanced English conversation practice, should try improv at least once.
Improv is an amazing art form, with connections to writing and poetry (especially comedy sketch, script, and play writing), dance and movement practices (contact improv, fusion), circus arts (mime and clowning), music and singing (blues, jazz, rap), psychology (psychodrama, play therapy), even martial arts and sports, — and, of course, theater and film acting.
We play different games each time, taking inspiration from the interests and experiences of the people who join us.

Friday night Musical Improv and regular improv set show! It will be fun!

Come cheer a musical improv performance of a short musical that has never been performed before and where all the music and lyrics are made up on the spot. Come support Johnny and Cyrus-and a few other Wed. meetup improv veterans at a very fun Friday night at comedysportz. We are in a group called "Emotional Overtones" from South Bay Musical Improv. We won a competition in September with help from your votes! and now we are facing a challenger.

This is a fun "duel" where you watch two different improv groups (the other is not musical, but they are hilarious.)
You will laugh and smile. Guaranteed-a great end of the week and kickoff to a weekend.
The show is at 9:30 and is 10 bucks. It is half off if you attend the earlier regular comedysportz signature short form show-which is a lot of fun!.

This is where you get to sing with us and make up scenes. The bar just introduced a signature drink named after our group AND A SALSA just for us! No joke...kind of cool!
Come help "advance" improv. The following Tuesday, October 14 we have a jam and party at the same venue where we host mucial improv regularly in Willow Glen (San Jose)
