South Bay Improv-Sing For your Supper MUSICAL IMPROV DINNER & SHOW

We are hosting the first ever "Sing for your Supper" Musical Improv Show on Sunday, April 26. This will be fun!

We have hosted many Jams, but this night is special. This is BOTH a jam and a show. Three different groups will perform their own improvised musicals for you.
There is a fun, public jam anyone can join from 4:30-5:30
Seating starts at 5 if you just want to come for the show.
Show 5:30-7:30
Additional jam and or karaoke for anyone who wants to partiicpate after the show.

The three groups performing are:
All that Jazz-one of the longest performing musical improv groups in the bay area-they perform a 1950s improvised musical IN COSTUME.
Gamesome Frolic they perform and sing songs that are ALL improvised Shakespeare with live music as well.
Emotional Overtones-your hosts from South Bay Musical Improv (many of us attend the other south bay improv jams)-We will do a fun show with characters and scenes inspired by your suggestion, but yes ALL in song.
There will be drama, and a whole lot of singing and dancing.

These are some amazing performers who have travelled and taught in countries all over the globe. This will be an incredible and fun night...and yes...you can still partiicpate (if you want-entirely up to you) in the jam before and after the show.

These are some of the most accomplished and veteran performers in the bay area! Come support them and this new format of an improv show!

$15 dollars to see multiple professional improv performers! if you buy your ticket early or $35 dollars for a three course (salad, entree, dessert) meal and the show.

For the jam, any and all levels from complete novice to veteran improvisors are welcome to join. We work on basic improv skills, but we also have a live accompanist on keyboard as well. We do some warm up activities and then we make up scenes and songs as well! Sound intimidating?

Don't worry- it is all fun and you are being led by several veteran musical improvisors. You do not have to be a singer. Most of us are improvisors first, but individuals who enjoy the format and joy of musical improv. You are also welcome to just come, watch, and laugh as well. Everyone who has come has ended up joining in, but it is not required. We are an amazingly warm and welcoming group. You will definitely leave smiling and feeling connected!

Many of us have been in the Wednesday and Sunday groups as well. Feel free to bring friends or others.

You will have a ton of fun and laugh a lot. You can watch or join in the fun! The bar and restaurant literally named a drink after us (alcoholic and nonalcoholic versions) the "Mimosical." Come try one out. You can even "yes and" the drink to where it adds a couple extra things and even helps make an improv suggestion! Yes the drink...offers up the suggestion! (Come find out how that works!)

The show is at Mimosa's restaurant in Willow Glen (San Jose) just off 280 and right on the main bus line up to palo alto (#25) or mile away from the main Diridon downtown train station. There is a full bar open with a bartender if you or friends want something, but the restaurant actually closes down for us-but TONIGHT YOU CAN ORDER THE 3 course meal in advance or just order off the menu. Note: We (and all south bay improv events) ask for a contribution to cover the exclusive cost of the facility and so we can pay our amazing keyboardist. This is a ticketed show as well. It will be fun!
