Distance: 6.5 miles
Elevation: about 1,000 feet

Coal Mine Ridge is private open space owned by the City of Portola Valley but open to the public. The trails we will take make this an up-down-up-down hike and also loop quite a bit since this is a small preserve. This area is almost entirely wooded and very attractive with well maintained trails. We will hike on a portion of the Old Spanish Trail.
