Mt. Umunhum/Sierra Azul Open Space

NOTE the hike starts at 8:15AM as this is a small parking lot and a popular hike. Please consider carpooling. The district does not issue permits for the preserve on the weekends, so limit will be 19 hikers. Please be sure to change your rsvp promptly if you decide you can't attend.

This is an out and back hike, 8 miles round trip and 1200 feet elevation gain. We'll take our snack break at the top where the view can be spectacular, then return back down the hill to the parking lot.

Directions: Hicks Road to Mt. Umunhum Road. Up Mt. Umunhum Road to the Bald Mt. parking lot.
