Beach Walk at Rio Del Mar

This will be our 14th New Year's Day at the beach! We walk 7 miles R/T on the beach south of Rio Del Mar. Starts at 9:00, since it's New Year's Day and is out of town. We will do the entire out and back walk.
Old-timers are invited to Emily's Aptos home for potluck - details will be emailed.

Walk: Round trip is 7 miles. We start at Rio Del Mar and walk south for 3.5 miles, passing Manresa State Beach in the town of La Selva Beach and turning back around 10:15. Return to cars before 11:30. If it's been raining we may have to ford some streams along the beach - fun!

Directions: Hwy 1 south to Rio Del Mar exit. Right turn and follow the road to the beach. Park anywhere and meet near the bathrooms. Should take about 45 minutes from Los Gatos.
NOTE! Meetup map pins may be wrong. You can instead drive to "Venus Pie Trap".
