Arastradero Preserve
Details
A new hike for us, thanks to Bill's 50+ Social Hikers.
Distance: 6.6 miles, 950 feet.
Planned route (rough): Arastradero Road, John Marthens Lane, Meadowlark, Vista Point, Woodrat, Arastradero Creek, Acorn, Meadowlark, pass the lake, Wild Rye, de Anza, Redtail Loop, Portola Pastures, Meadowlark, Bonus Hill, Ohlone, Bay Laurel, Woodland, and back.
We park at the Alpine Inn, walk 200 feet on Arastradero Rd and then we're off road and on our way. Halfway thru we reach the main parking for the preserve; bathrooms are here. There are many intersections, the trails are a real maze!
We should be back for early lunch, but it's an awfully busy place. The benefit to us is that we're already parked.
