Pay It Forward Morning Surf and optional volunteering with YMC

Hi everyone,

We're planning to surfing session and optional volunteer event for this meetup at Dockweiler Beach, lifeguard tower 49. The surfing session is from 8:30 am to 10 am. If you have time, the volunteer event starts at 10 am. The volunteer portion is optional but it would be great if you could come help. If you can't help, you're welcome to stick around and keep surfing or watch the surf camp. Lunch will be served for volunteers. Here are the details for the volunteer event:

The Youth Mentoring Connection (YMC) (https://youthmentoring.org/) is starting their summer surfing camp for at risk youth. The mentoring portion starts on Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Dockweiler Beach for volunteers who want to help teach kids how to surf and at the same time mentor them in life. We had training a couple weeks ago and it was a great introduction to the program. If you were not able to attend the training, we can guide you on how to teach the surfing.

The session dates are June 22, 29, July 13, 20, 27, and August 3. The sessions will go from 10 AM to 2:00 PM and lunch will be provided.
