Hi all,
I wanted to set up a Meetup for an incredible organization we’ve volunteered with before — Life Rolls On. They help people with disabilities experience the thrill of surfing, and they'll be hosting an event on Saturday, June 6 in Santa Monica.
From their website: “Life Rolls On is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people affected by spinal cord injury and other disabilities. They host “epic surf and skate events for wheelchair athletes.”

Online registration closes on Saturday, May 23. If you don’t make registration, walk-up volunteers are welcome on the day of the event. One of the event organizers mentioned that volunteer sign-ups have been low this year, so any extra hands would be a huge help. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
I’ve volunteered at this event in the past, and it was such an amazing, moving experience — seeing the joy on the surfers’ faces as they catch their first wave is unforgettable. I highly recommend this to anyone who’s interested in giving back and spending a beautiful day at the beach.
