Hiking Above the Clouds West Ridge Trail at Loveland Pass

This moderate 4 mile hike offers spectacular views of numerous peaks and an alpine experience without too much effort.

The road to Loveland Pass reopened after a short closure.

Trailhead elevation: 12,000; peaks about 12,500.

Trailhead: 8:30 am at Loveland Pass

This is Loveland Pass not Loveland Ski area.

There are no restrooms at Loveland Pass. You may stop in Georgetown at the Visitor Center.

Items to bring include a hat, a jacket, rain gear, gloves, food, trail mix, and water. We will be above 12k. We'll get out of the heat and into the cool.

Please dress appropriately for the weather.
