Start your day off with a red, white, and blue hike at Spruce Mountain, Friday July 4! The trailhead is about 5 or so miles south of Larkspur and offers a leisurely 5-mile loop and great views of the front range.

Do not confuse with Spruce Meadows Open Space.

The hike is about a 500-foot elevation gain to 7600 feet. Rated moderate by Alltrails.

Location: The trailhead is on S Spruce Mountain Rd between Larkspur and Palmer Lake.

Time: 8 am at the trailhead.

Items you may want to bring include: sunscreen, hat, food, hiking boots, trekking poles, rain gear, and water.
