Hiking at Sandstone Ranch

Beautiful Sandstone Ranch Open Space near Larkspur offers several trails.

We will hike the Ranch Overlook via Sandstone Meadow Trail Loop.

Directions: From Larkspur, drive about 3 miles west on Perry Park Ave. At the intersection where Perry Park Avenue dead-ends, turn left onto Highway 105. The Sandstone Ranch trailhead is about 0.6 miles from the intersection and is located on the right (west) side of the highway.

From Co Springs, you may head north on I-25 to the Larkspur exit, or drive to Palmer Lake and head north on Hwy 105 until you reach Sandstone Ranch.

Start-Peak Elevation: approximately 6,600 ft - 6,900 ft
Roundtrip is approx 5 miles

Dress appropriately for the weather.

Items to bring include sunscreen, jacket, hat, hiking shoes, food, trekking poles (if you think you may need them), and plenty of water.
