Mt Muscoco in North Cheyenne Cañon, Microspiking/Snoeshoeing the Bruin Trail

Located near Colorado Springs, North Cheyenne Cañon is a beloved local gem. If you haven’t hiked Mt. Muscoco yet, it’s well worth the adventure.

Traction encouraged given the snow Thursday evening.

Elevation: 7,200 - 8,000 feet
4.5 miles roundtrip

Skill level: Moderate, steeper in a few places near the top.

Location: Bruin Inn Picnic Area in North Cheyenne Cañon. See link for the location. If parking is taken, we can park 0.1 miles further at Helen Hunt Falls. We will follow much of the alltrails route, but we will start in a different spot, further up the canyon.

Dress appropriately for the weather.

Items to bring include sunscreen, hiking shoes, food, trekking poles, if you think you'll need them, food, gloves, hat, and plenty of water.

Consider bringing microspikes, just in case. The trail is shaded.
