Do not confuse with nearby Spruce Meadows Open Space. Our trailhead is on S Spruce Mountain Rd between Larkspur and Palmer Lake.

It's a 500-foot elevation gain to 7600 feet, most in the first 1.5 miles. Rated moderate by AllTrails. We'll stop for snacks at our destination, Windy Point, before heading back to the trailhead.

Items you may want to bring include sunscreen, hat, rain gear, food, hiking boots, trekking poles, water.
