Paddle on the Fox River

On June 8, lets hope for a beautiful day to enjoy a paddle on our local Fox River from the canoe launch at Rt 50 to the canoe takeout in the town of Silver Lake.

We will meet at 1:00 and after we transfer a car or two to the end we will head downstream for a leisurely paddle through all the bends of this magnificently meandering river.

On this outing you are welcome even if you don’t own a canoe or kayak. Al has a canoe which will carry 2 or 3 and has several kayaks which can be borrowed for the occasion. Please feel free to take advantage of this opportunity to see the local world through the eyes of a muskrat.

Please call or email Al to let you know you will be there or to inquire whether all boats are being used. I like to know who is planning to come so that I can call or email participants if the the trip has to be cancelled or postponed due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
