Hey everyone!
I’ve just moved to Southend from London, and I’ve been learning Japanese and Spanish on and off for a while. I used to be a bit too shy to attend language meetups in London, but with this move, I wanted to break out of my comfort zone and finally start connecting with people who share the same interests!
Since I couldn’t find any local groups, I thought—why not create one myself? (with a little help from ChatGPT, haha).
The idea is to create a friendly and fun space—both online and in-person—where we can support each other in learning. Ideally, it would be a mix of learners and native speakers: native Japanese or Spanish speakers who’d like to practice their English, and English speakers learning Japanese or Spanish (or both!).
