Casco Bay Navigation for Beginners

What do you do if the fog rolls in? Join SMSKN friends for a chance to learn basic navigation skills as they apply to our local waters. The first half of the day (9-12) will be spent in the Community Room at Martin's Point Health Care Center in Brunswick. We'll talk about how to use a chart and plan a course. In the afternoon, we'll launch from Lookout Point in Harpswell and apply what we've learned in the morning to what we find on the water. If you've ever wondered what the terms "bearing," "heading" and "course" mean and how they work together to keep us safe on the water, this is the course for you.
