Let's go paddle around beautiful Ragged Island, the former home of poet Edna St. Vincent Millay in the bay north of Baileys and Orrs Islands. We'll launch at the Crib Bridge on Rt. 24 at 10 am and check out the wild rocky coast of this and nearby islands, stopping for lunch on the cute little Elm Islands. A poetry reading is possible. Bring lunch and a hot drink and all open ocean safety gear; dry suit or equivalent is required. Trip is about 8 -9 nm. Seas are looking calm right now but check the forecast here:
