Annual-ish New Years Paddle

Come join other SMSKN members to welcome the New Year on the open ocean. We'll launch at 10 am from SMCC in South Portland and paddle out to the red buoy offshore of the Portland Headlight, then gather up and offer our hopes for the new year while bobbing on the waves. Then we toast the occasion using the drink of your choice. It's a fun little event we've done the last few years. No poetry unless you bring it.

After the toast people can paddle around Cushing and/or Peaks or go wherever they wish, and some may return directly to the launch site. So the return time depends on what you do. Shortest time is shown, about 3 hours.

This trip is of course weather dependent; the weather date will be on the weekend. Full winter gear and immersion protection required.
