Hi Folks - as many of you know, Nanuq Kayak, owned and operated by our friend and paddler Harley Lewin, burned during the horrific fire on Custom House Wharf on December 26. Nearly everything was lost, but a few boats and some other items survived. Demolition of the area is planned for early to mid-February.

To support Harley in his long effort to rebuild, we are assembling a group of paddlers to help Harley and Oliver go through the remaining contents of the shop and salvage what they can before the building is torn down. One, maybe two days of work will be required, probably between Feb 5 and Feb 7, though this might change. Work will involve moving boats and working in and around the burned contents of the shop to pull out anything of value, as well as helping to deliver items to a local storage facility. Work gloves and sturdy boots are recommended, as well as a mask if you wish. Harley will provide donuts.

If you can help with this important effort please sign up below and message me through Meetup, providing your email and availability on and around those days. We can organize things from there. This is a chance for us to help a steadfast friend of the paddling community so we hope you can pitch in. Thank you!
