Come join for a holiday weekend of camping and kayaking way-up-there in Downeast Maine at Cobscook Bay State Park!

Tentative Agenda:

  • Friday: Arrival day at Cobscook Bay State Park. Set up camp, dinner at camp (check in: 1pm-9pm)
  • Saturday: Kayak day! Possibly go out for dinner in town
  • Sunday: Morning paddle and then explore Lubec/West Quoddy Head Lighthouse
  • Monday: Heading home (check out: 11am)

Kayaking: There's a lot of interesting paddling near here! (reversing falls, paddling to West Quoddy light, etc.) We would do a day paddle nearby. We would pick based on weather conditions and group skill/interest.
Open water paddling with rescue experience, fog navigation skills, fully functional kayak that is at least 16 ft long with hatch covers, etc., all needed!

Lodging: Please book your own campsite at Cobscook Bay State Park. Update: We have enough interest so I've booked the group campsite and you'd bring your own tent, sleeping bag, etc.

Park Rules of note: Flush toilets and showers are up and running!! All park visitors must bring their own drinking water.
