The Importance of SharePoint Community

Details
SharePoint… it is a Microsoft software that has been around for a long time and has seen many iterations and revitalizations over the years. It has been said that Sharing is the Point with SharePoint and that is true on so many levels. SharePoint has been the cornerstone for knowledge sharing for many organizations, commercial, government, and nonprofit alike. SharePoint has also shared with its developers, administrators, analysts, and project managers an ability to create solutions for their customers while earning a great salary and providing upward mobility. Sharing via SharePoint also happens through community: through being part of the community and through giving back to the community. In this session, I will share with you my take and experience on being part of one of the largest and long lived technology communities in the world and why I believe it is not only important to be a part of the community for your own advancement and knowledge but also the importance of giving back to the community and the many ways you can do so.
