Their is a small annual membership dues for our group which I plan to donate any excess funds to local conservation groups after my organizer dues have been met. You have sixty (60) days to try out the group. After the trial period Meetup would remove you from the group if dues are not paid.
We are a group of like-minded adults who enjoy walking, hiking and exploring wildlife refuges, nature preserves and local conservation areas.
We will walk in protected conservations areas such as Sheldrick Forest Preserve (Wilton, NH) Heald Tract (Wilton, NH), Childrens Woods/Carey Park in Jaffrey, Trustee of Reservation properties in Massachusetts, Massachusetts Audubon properties, Harris Center (Hancock, NH), Town of Brookline New Hampshire conservation properties, Florence Tarr Preserve (Goffstown) and Edward McDowell (Peterborough) to name a few.
Year round walks/hikes will be offered.
As the group develops we could explore volunteering at conservation areas to help on the trail volunteers days.
We charge annual dues for several reasons. After the organizer dues are completed excess funds will be donated to local conservation groups. You can try out the group for sixty days to participate in a few hikes and if not a fit for you, you can leave the group before you would be charged the annual dues of $10. Meetup will remove you from our roster if after the trial period you do not pay the membership dues.
Attending events - please sign up for events that are interest to you. If you change your mind or unable to attend, please update your RSVP. If you do not update your RSVP and are a no show the first one is forgiven. Subsequent no shows you may be removed from the group at organizer discretion. Dues are not refundable in this case.
