Let’s beat the heat up at beautiful Grizzly Peak! Temperatures at Grizzly are forecasted in the 60s.

Grizzly Peak Trail is a 4.7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Ashland, Oregon that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. Purple trilliums are typically blooming this time of year.

Dogs are also able to use this trail(friendly dogs are welcome on this hike).

Length 4.7 mi. Elevation gain 921 ft. Route type: Loop

Let's hit the trail! Bring lots of water and snacks for the hike. It's recommended that you bring a lunch to eat at the peak.

Protein snacks and plenty of water are a must on this hike, as well as sunscreen and a hat! Typically this hike involves over an hour of walking in the direct sun.

We will plan to walk the trail clockwise, stopping to enjoy the view of Mt. Shasta before we break for lunch at the “peak”(not the official peak).

The hike begins at the trailhead at 10:30 a.m. Carpooling from Medford will be at Fred Meyer North at 9:30 a.m. sharp. Carpooling from Ashland will meet at Rite Aid at 10 a.m. sharp. For carpooling from Ashland or Grants Pass please comment below.

Optional refreshments in Ashland near the creek afterwards.
