Los Altos Festival of Lights Parade - Comms Volunteers

@Assistance is needed for the Los Altos Festival of Lights Parade. Signup is required at the SCC ARES/RACES site: https://www.scc-ares-races.org/activities/events.php . Briefings will be around 4:45 to 5:50 PM so you can be on station for the 6 PM parade start. Dress warmly, bring fresh batteries and join in the fun. A 5 watt HT is required and a headset is highly encouraged. Shadows will work on 440. Three positions are available: Checkpoint, Shadow (eight Shadows are required) and Net Control (around 4-6 PM). When signing up, indicate your preference; the coordinators will do their best to accommodate it but may move hams to other positions based on the needs of the parade. Evaluations for S3 should be available at this event; details are still being worked out. Credential credit: No. DSW coverage for the County of Santa Clara or the City of Los Altos is required. If you do not have either, you will be sworn in at the event; non-DSW personnel must arrive 15-30 minutes early. Event created by Jim Clark N6JRC.
