Hi Leaders,

Happy new year. Hope each of us had a good time during this holidays season. I am glade to host this meetup for 2016 on Jan 26 at Kforce. This is very interested topic which is very critical as well to manage the scope and capture the right requirements using agile approach. Our speaker for the topic is Jose Carranza.

Jose Carranza is the VP of Education for the South Florida PMI Chapter. He is an IT project manager with 30 years of corporate and consulting experience. He is an electrical engineer with an MBA, and has earned the PMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA certifications.
He has worked as a software programmer, utility engineer, Lean Six Sigma consultant, business analyst, sales engineer, and project manager in various industries. He has participated in and led projects throughout North and South America as well as Western Europe.
Jose has a passion for teaching and coaching. He is entertaining and challenging as well.

The tsunami wave of Agile is catching all of us by surprise. We are trying to figure out how our traditional skill sets translate into the Agile/Scrum world. The focus on Agile is more on real-time requirements as opposed to the traditional Waterfall and execution style. Both BA’s and PM’s feel threatened, yet PM’s and BA’s make the best Agile practitioners. In this discussion, Jose will explain how to leverage our experience and stand out from the Agile crowed. The Key is in Requirements Identification and management.

Agenda will be:
6:30pm to 7pm Networking and refreshments
7pm to 8pm Lecture and discussion
8pm to 8:15pm Q & A
