What is the Real? George Berkley and Subjective Idealism

Details

We will be reading George Berkley's The Principles of Human Knowledge.
Berkley is often lumped in with the other Empiricists such as Locke and Hume. Nevertheless, while he was ardent that knowledge came not through innate ideas (c.f. Rene Descartes, as we read last group), he held that all things that exist are spirits (what he called human minds), and that matter, and therefore the objective world, is merely an idea in the human mind. Hence, he is a subjective idealist. Let us read to understand.
