Thanks to everyone who came for the second meetup on Foucault. It was a great discussion of the last two parts of his Discipline & Punish. I hope you appreciated the outline and systematic review and our discussion of his disciplinary methods. Foucault was a prodigious thinker and his academic research stretched many disciplines. We may return to him in the future. For myself, I am finally getting around to reading his essay on "What is Enlightenment."

Next month we will be moving into some political philosophy with Noam Chomsky's famous essay "The Responsibility of Intellectuals." This essay is as timely as it was 50 years ago; let us seek to understand. You can find it free online in the link above on Dr. Chomsky's website. I would encourage you to print a copy to make marginal notes.

We will continue our meetup at Panera. Please save the tables if you get there early.
