Sunday Walk High Barnet-Dollis Valley-Hampstead Heath-Tufnell Pk 10.75mls linear
Details
Join us for a 10.75 mile linear walk along a mainly green corridor into London. Start at High Barnet Underground Station (Northern Line), walk via Hampstead Heath to Parliament Hill with panoramic views over London (weather permitting) then finish the walk at Tufnell Park station (Northern Line).
The pace is moderate rather than brisk, so it is suitable for anyone whether you are a seasoned hiker or new to country walks. If the weather changes or if you don't feel like doing the whole route, you could finish the walk after about a quarter, half or three quarters of the way and catch a tube train. Explore some footpaths that you may not have walked before. Expect good views, quiet scenic paths, and a chance to connect with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts. This is a South Herts Hikers/South Herts Footpath Society joint event.
Meet 10:30 for 10:45 start outside the ticket office at High Barnet Underground Station, by the Coffee@Cal’s kiosk, Barnet Hill, Barnet EN5 5RP, see photo in photo album. Look for our South Herts Hikers Meetup sign.

To summarise:
- The walk leader sets the pace suitable for the slowest member. We stop from time to time to regroup. You may need extra clothing to put on for stops in colder weather.
- We have members of different ages and genders and we like everyone to relate to each other on an equal basis.
- We welcome members from different nationalities and cultures and we don't quiz anyone about their background or country of origin, they can tell us if they like but this is optional.
- We avoid heated debates or any discussions about controversial or unpleasant subjects.
For our policy on dogs on our hikes, please see our FAQ page, http://southhertshikers.uk/faq/
