Kayak & Picnic on the Poquonock

PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE RSVP’ing

Come spend Memorial Day with us on the river. We’ll meet at the Windsor Boat Ramp at 11:45. Metacomet will then shuttle us up river (to the Strawberry Hills Park) and launch us where we’ll paddle down the river back to where we’re all parked. Mid way there’s a great spot that we will pull off and picnic. Plan for about a 3.5 hr trip, very easy paddling, this is a great trip for beginners!

Please bring your own sunscreen, water or drinks, snacks or meal (Grinders are perfect for a mid kayak picnic!) Metacomet provides your kayak, paddle, life jacket, & the shuttle ride up river.

Please RSVP on Meetup first so we know how many are in our group. THEN IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO RSVP AND RESERVE YOUR OWN KAYAK WITH METACOMET. (I believe it’s $40 for the kayak but this is your responsibility)

Parking and Meet at 67 Palisado Ave, Windsor CT 06095 right behind Bart's Drive-In. This park is known as the Windsor Boat launch ramp and there is plenty of parking
