Free tutorial for new players wanting to learn the game starting at 6:00pm

Mahjong players of all ages and experience are welcome to participate in our social gathering - running Tuesdays weekly 6-11pm, Garden City Library.
Parking is free after 5:30pm at Garden City.
Here you can meet and play with new friends and enjoy a variety of new ways to play the game and have fun.
Hong kong, Japanese and Taiwanese styles are played here.
Seating is available for up to 20 people.

From 1st July 2023, players will have the option to participate in competition ranked format for each division of Mahjong style (Hong Kong, Japanese, Taiwanese) spanning over 3 month periods. Prizes will be rewarded to the most scored points of each division. All 4 players must be registered in order for a game to be ranked.
Where & When: Garden City Library, 6pm every Tuesday.
Registration: $5 per session / $45 upfront for quarterly period.
Prizes: To be determined depending on participant numbers.
Style Rulesets: Available on site or you may contact me directly to obtain a copy.
Casual players can still continue to partake in Mahjong Social sessions for free.

Don't worry, the Brisbane Mahjong Club can offer you an absolutely beginner-friendly tutorial. We can offer you a step-by-step guide on how to play. By the end of the night, you will know how to play.
Cost: $10 pp. You may return in the subsequent sessions free of charge to refresh what you have learnt.
*Quarterly Leadership Rankings*Players can participate in our leadership boards for each division of Mahjong style (Hong Kong, Japanese, Taiwanese) spanning over 3 month periods.
Top 4 players of the season will qualify for the Final Showdown at the end of each quarter. The winner of the showdown will receive the Flower Tile AwardAll 4 players must be registered for a game to be ranked.
