### Guest Speaker: Julian Grant

Join Southwest Michigan Game Developers for our August meetup featuring award-winning filmmaker, scholar, educator, and independent game designer Julian Grant.
Julian brings decades of experience across film, television, interactive fiction, game design, education, and AI-assisted creative production. He has directed or produced more than 35 feature films and television movies, with work distributed by HBO, SYFY, Lifetime, and Lionsgate. He has also created more than 60 interactive-fiction and game titles.
His honors include a Golden Hugo nomination, Gemini and Directors Guild of Canada awards, five NYICFF awards, and a 2026 Raindance Film Festival official selection.
Come meet fellow developers, learn from an accomplished multidisciplinary creator, and explore the connections between games, filmmaking, storytelling, and emerging creative technology.
