About us
Welcome to the Southwest Psychedelic Society
We are Kari and Andrea, co-hosts of the Southwest Psychedelic Society, and we’re deeply honored to welcome you into this sacred community. This is a space devoted to connection, education, and conscious exploration within the ever-evolving world of psychedelics—a gathering place for like-minded souls to learn, grow, and remember together.
Through virtual and in-person events, community gatherings, and immersive retreats, we create opportunities to celebrate the beauty of life, each other, and the greater mysteries of existence. With ceremony, shared intention, and embodied presence, we seek to elevate our lived experience and deepen our understanding of self, spirit, and healing.
At the heart of our work is a reverence for the transformative potential of entheogens. We hold sacred the process of integration—weaving the insights and healing from psychedelic experiences into the fabric of daily life. Our vision is to nurture a supportive, inclusive environment where curiosity is welcomed, healing is honored, and community thrives.
Whether you're just beginning your journey with psychedelics or have been walking this path for many years, we’re grateful to walk beside you.

Art Journaling Workshop: A Creative Medicine Practice
Sozo Healing House Classroom Suite 103, 51 West Elliot Road, STE 103, Tempe, AZ, USArt Journaling Workshop: A Creative Medicine Practice
Where play meets prayer.
This art journaling workship invites you to explore creativity as medicine—through color, texture, images, and intuitive art-making. Rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and informed by therapeutic art practices, this workshop offers a sacred yet playful container where curiosity leads and the inner critic can rest.
Many people are familiar with vision boards as a way to set intentions at the beginning of a new year. Art journaling builds on this idea—but goes deeper. Rather than focusing on a single moment or outcome, you’ll be guided in learning gentle, accessible ways to work with an art journal as an ongoing practice—one that supports reflection, emotional processing, and nervous system regulation over time.
In this gathering, you’ll be introduced to simple creative approaches that help you listen to images, symbols, color, and texture as forms of inner language. These practices invite expression beyond words, allowing the journal to become a living companion you can return to for grounding, clarity, and self-connection.
No art experience is needed. This is about process over product, presence over performance, and remembering that play is a form of wisdom.
